PMGO 2026 SEASON 2: WOLVES WIN IN LAHORE | GAMING WITH TALHA

PMGO 2026 Season 2 Lahore grand finals stage with a golden PUBG Mobile esports trophy under crimson and navy lights

Short answer: Wolves Esports won the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 in Lahore, Pakistan, on October 25, 2026, taking the title through the Smash Rule in the twelfth match of the Grand Finals. AK Gold Esports finished second, 4K Esports third, and Nepal's Horaa Esports were the best South Asian team in fourth.

Gaming With Talha follows PUBG Mobile closely, both as one of the most-played games on the channel and as an esports scene that matters to millions of players across Bangladesh and South Asia. This week the biggest event in that scene happened right in the region: a six-day international LAN in Lahore with 32 teams and a $500,000 prize pool. Here is what happened and why it matters.

What happened in Lahore

PMGO 2026 Season 2 ran from October 20 to 25, 2026, organised by KRAFTON, Level Infinite, StarLadder and NODWIN Gaming, according to the Liquipedia tournament page. Teams qualified from regional finals in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Türkiye, Western Europe, the Americas and Africa, plus the Pakistan Open. China, Japan, South Korea and India have their own circuits and were not part of this event.

The format had three stages:

  • Group Stage (October 20–21): two groups of 16, six matches each. The top six of each group went straight to the Grand Finals.
  • Survival Stage (October 22): 16 teams fought over six matches for the last four places.
  • Grand Finals (October 24–25): 16 teams, with the Smash Rule on day two. Once a team passed the match-point threshold, its next chicken dinner would end the event.

Day one of the Grand Finals ended with Horaa Esports setting the match-point threshold at 67 points. On day two, several teams crossed that line, but nobody could close it out until Wolves Esports won match 12 and were crowned champions through the Smash Rule. AK Gold Esports from Indonesia finished the Grand Finals with the most points (94) and took second place. 4K Esports from Iraq (88 points) were third and Horaa Esports (86 points) fourth (Liquipedia results).

A big week for South Asia

For fans in this part of the world, the most interesting storyline was the South Asian teams. Pakistan's 4Thrives Esports came in as defending champions after winning PMGO 2026 Season 1 in Jakarta in June (Geo Super, June 8, 2026), but they finished bottom of Group B and were knocked out on October 21. Home teams LF Esports and 777 Esports, the top two from the Pakistan Open, also went out in the Survival Stage, as did Nepal's Trained to Kill.

That left Horaa Esports from Nepal to carry the region. They finished third in Group A, set the match-point mark after day one of the Grand Finals and ended fourth overall. Their player NoFear was named MVP of the Group A day.

What it means for players

PMGO is part of the 2026 PUBG Mobile competitive season, which ends at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC). Every Grand Finals team earned PMGC 2026 points from Lahore: 150 for Wolves, 96 for AK Gold, 60 for 4K Esports and 48 for Horaa, down to 2 points for 16th place. The base prize table lists $50,000 for first place in the Grand Finals.

For PUBG Mobile players in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, it is a reminder that top international events are now coming to South Asia, and that a team from the region can still go toe to toe with the best squads in the world. You can follow results and broadcasts on the PUBG Mobile Esports website and the PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube channel.
